Asya Dyankova’s primary areas of expertise encompass PPP, Concessions and Infrastructure, Dispute Resolution, Real Estate and Construction, Aviation and Water Law.

Ms. Dyankova has participated in several significant international commercial arbitration proceedings dealing with large scale FIDIC construction contracts. She has advised some renowned international construction companies regarding their ongoing construction projects in Bulgaria, including in relation to their claim preparation.

Asya Dyankova has also been advising clients on a wide range of sophisticated sector specific matters in the field of PPP and concessions, water supply and sewerage, waste collection and treatment.

Ms. Dyankova is highly experienced in preparation and implementation of EC grant proposals and has actively participated in several successful EU projects in the field of PPP and EC Competition Law.

Asya Dyankova holds a Master degree in law from the University of Sofia. She is fluent in English and has a very good working knowledge of the French language.

  • assisted large construction companies including Porr Bau GmbH and Alpine Bau GmbH in various issues inherent to the implementation of their construction projects in Bulgaria (road and railroad construction).
  • advised and acted as legal counsel for different Bulgarian public bodies – the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, the Road Infrastructure Agency, the Ministry of Environment and Water, the Privatization and Post-Privatization Agency – in large scale international arbitration proceedings.
  • advised the leading global operator of water services Veolia Water in the acquisition of the United Utilities’ European non-regulated assets, including the controlling interest in Sofyiska Voda (Sofia Water), the concessionaire of the water and wastewater system of Sofia.
  • advised Sofyiska Voda (Sofia Water), the concessionaire of the water and wastewater system of Sofia on a variety of issues (regulatory, corporate, public procurement etc.) inherent to the company’s business operations.
  • participated as legal expert advising the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works in the implementation of the newly introduced water supply and sewerage legislation regarding the change of status of the WSS Assets, the functioning of the new WSS Associations managing the assets and the new regime for delegation of the WSS assets and services to the existing WSS operators.
  • advised and assisted the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications in a project for preparation of a procedure for award of service concession over Plovdiv Airport – international airport for public use.
