Marin Arsov is a co-founder of Arsov Natchev Ganeva and a Managing Partner.

Marin Arsov has more than 25 years of experience representing clients in various Corporate, Dispute Resolution cases, M&A, Real Estate, Construction and Energy transactions - in virtually all industries.

Marin leads Arsov Natchev Ganeva’s Real Estate and Construction practice. He guides domestic and international clients through the various phases of projects, including setting up of joint ventures or special purpose vehicles, fiscal structuring, acquisition and construction. Marin has particular knowledge of the FIDIC contracts.

Marin Arsov has developed a strong track record of trying and winning complex commercial cases in state courts and arbitrations. His varied litigation background enables him to offer clients robust and knowledgeable representation across a broad range of matters.

Marin has long-standing experience leading deals involving infrastructural and energy assets. He advises investors, infrastructure funds, contractors and developers on complex projects, efficiently navigating the different challenges that each transaction brings.

The diverse range of clients from various  industries that benefitted from Marin Arsov’s legal experience, encompass - local and foreign investors, ministries and governmental agencies, utility providers, distribution and retail companies and non-governmental organizations.

  • Marin Arsov has more than 25 years of experience representing diverse clients in various projects, and industries.
  • Dispute Resolution: Marin represents diverse clients in high profile cases before state courts and arbitral tribunals, like: the Privatization and Post-privatization Agency in an arbitration proceeding  against Bulgarian Telecommunication Company (BTC) and the mobile operator Vivacom before the International Court of Arbitration in Paris; the Ministry of Environment and Waters in an arbitration case stemming from a FIDIC contract for construction of a waste land fill funded by the European Union; the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works and the Road Infrastructure Agency in an arbitration case before ICC in Paris against a leading construction company; the Austrian construction company Porr against the National Railway Infrastructure Company in an arbitration case related to the construction and modernization of part of the railway system in Bulgaria; the Privatization and Post-privatization Agency on dispute settlement matters related to the sale of the state share’s participation in one of the major electricity distribution company in Bulgaria to the Czech owned - CEZ; the Telecommunications Regulation Commission before the Supreme Administrative Court in a case related to the national license of the second largest television network in the country – Nova Televisia;
  • Energy, Environment and Natural Resources: In the Energy, Environment and Natural Resources industries, Marin Arsov advises investors and operators in the framework of various strategic projects, including: the Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH) on matters related to the BEH’s participation in the project company - ICGB (the other shareholder being - the Greek company DEPA and the Italian company Edison) in the natural gas pipeline interconnector between Bulgaria and Greece; the project company ICGB (Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria) on the construction of the natural gas pipeline interconnector between Bulgaria and Greece; the Austrian construction company Alpine Bau on the company’s participation in the hydro power plant project Gorna Arda and on matters related to  the construction  of the hydro power plant and dame lake - Tsankov Kamak, as well as in the framework of the mining concession for mineral aggregates in the country; the German investment company Parabel in the development of ten photovoltaic power plants in Bulgaria; the French nuclear equipment manufacturer Areva on matters related to its participation as a subcontractor in the Nuclear Power Plant’ project - Belene.
  • Telecommunication: In the Telecommunication’s domain Marin Arsov represented the Telecommunications Regulation Commission in the course of the public procedures on license-granting to the third national television network (Nova Televisia) and the license-granting to the third GSM operator in Bulgaria (Vivacom).
  • Real Estate & Construction: Marin Arsov represents clients in numerous large scale real estate and construction projects, including:  the expansion of the German supermarket chain Lidl in Bulgaria, currently operating more than 80 supermarkets and 2 logistic warehouses; the Austrian construction company Porr for the rehabilitation and modernization of part of the Bulgarian railway network; the Austrian construction company Alpine Bau and the Austrian turbine manufacturer VA Tech Hydro in the process of construction of the hydro power plant and dame lake - Tsankov Kamak; the French chain sport goods Decathlon, in the course of its expansion on the Bulgarian market; the real estate investment funds operating in Bulgaria like the United Kingdom’s DCM (Development Capital Management Bulgaria) and the Austrian UBM;
  • Pharmaceuticals: In the pharmaceutical industry Marin advised global healthcare companies, like - Novo Nordisc, Abbott Pharmacy, Avensis Pastior, Baxter International.
  • Consultation Projects: Marin Arsov advises ministries and governmental agencies in various privatization, concession, infrastructure and EU funded projects, as well as projects for implementation of the EU legislation in the national laws. In the framework of different consultation projects, he advised: the Ministry of Defense in the project for restructuring and privatization of the state owned military holding company TEREM (the project was implemented jointly with KPMG); the Ministry of Regional Development on a strategy for rehabilitation of the  water sector(the project was implemented jointly with KPMG); the Ministry of Environment and Waters on projects for development and construction of waste landfills; the Ministry of Transport on the concessions of Varna and Burgas airports, as well as in the course of the analysis for the planned concession of Plovdiv airport; the Ministry of Agriculture and the National Guarantee Fund on the Rural Development Program funded by EU.
